Softball Recap: Caldwell County Tigers vs. Graves County Eagles        
        
		
            
 Caldwell County can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game  on Thursday. They never let the Graves County Eagles onto the board and left with  a   9-0  victory. This was payback for Caldwell County, who suffered  a  9-7  loss the last time these two teams met.
 Not much got past  alexis wood, who gave up just  two  hits to keep Graves County off the board.
 At the plate,  Harper Holeman was  incredible,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with a  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Alicia Stanley, who  went 1-for-3 with a  home run.
 Even though they lost, Graves County  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with nine  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Caldwell County only tossed four.
 Caldwell County's win  ended  a  four-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 12-11-1. As for Graves County, their defeat was  their third straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 11-9.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Caldwell County will take on Marshall County at 5:45  p.m.  on Friday. Marshall County will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  victory, something Caldwell County surely won't give up without a fight. As for Graves County, they will look to defend their home field  on Saturday against Murray at 11:00  a.m.
