Volleyball Recap: Purdue Polytechnic Comes Up Short

Purdue Polytechnic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Lawrence Central Bears. The Techies were not able to make up for their loss to the Bears from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Purdue Polytechnic's offense was headlined by Magdalena Wiegel and Camara Walker-Brown, who picked up three kills apiece. They were helped by Juanya Hatchett and Kaida Lovett, who contributed four assists each. Hatchett was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Purdue Polytechnic's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Lawrence Central, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Looking ahead, Purdue Polytechnic will take on Indianapolis Crispus Attucks at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lawrence Central, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Indian Creek on the 20th.
