Softball Recap: Springs Valley Takes a Loss

Springs Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the North Daviess Cougars, falling 15-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blackhawks of the 1-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

Springs Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for North Daviess, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Springs Valley will face off against Borden at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Braves' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Blackhawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for North Daviess, they will challenge Bloomington South at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
