Basketball Recap: Fairfield Takes a Loss

Fairfield was the 44-39 winner over Lakota East when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Fairfield Indians took a 65-49 bruising from the Lakota East Thunderhawks on Saturday. The Indians were down 50-25 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Fairfield has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-3 record this season. As for Lakota East, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.

Fairfield and Lakota East should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Fairfield (ranked 32nd) will meet Mason (ranked 469th) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Lakota East will challenge Middletown at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday up 81 places (34 vs. 115).
