Volleyball Game Preview: Desert Edge Scorpions vs. Canyon View Jaguars + How To Watch

Desert Edge is 1-6 against Canyon View since October of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Scorpions will host the Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Wednesday, Desert Edge came up short against Buckeye and fell 3-1. While the Scorpions didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Hawks 25-21 in the first set.

Desert Edge started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-14, 25-21, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Canyon View faced Liberty in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Jaguars came up short against the Lions, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Jaguars have suffered since September 11, 2024.

Desert Edge's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Canyon View, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.

Desert Edge suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Canyon View in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Scorpions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
