Soccer Recap: Marietta Takes a Loss

Marietta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 8-0 to the Hillgrove Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 272nd, while the Hawks are ranked 18th).

Marietta's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Hillgrove, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marietta will square off against Atlanta International at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hillgrove, they will take on Paulding County at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
