Baseball Recap: Windsor Yellowjackets vs. Fair Haven Slaters
Windsor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 9-1 to the Fair Haven Slaters. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Slaters this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-9 back in April.
Windsor saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Finn Williams, who went 2-for-3 with one run. Landon Berrio also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Windsor's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Fair Haven, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-6.
Looking ahead, Fair Haven will challenge Springfield at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Windsor will be paying especially close attention to the Slaters' matchup: after the Slaters face off against Hartford, they'll take on Windsor again at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
