Basketball Game Preview: Mercer Cardinals vs. Tri-County Mustangs

Mercer has gone 8-2 against Tri-County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Mercer Cardinals will look to defend their home court against the Tri-County Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Mercer will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Mercer got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They put the hurt on Winston with a sharp 50-25 win on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Monday Tri-County sidestepped Winston for a 49-46 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Mercer pushed their record up to 7-13 with the win, which was their third straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.7 points. As for Tri-County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.
