The Woodlands on Saturday at AT&T Stadium, but this one was a little different.
The Cavaliers (15-1) won five straight state championships from 2007 to 2011 at what was then the Class 4A level (now known as Class 5A). After falling to Katy in the Class 6A Division II championship game last year, Lake Travis won its first Class 6A-I state title Saturday.

No. 8 in the Xcellent 25 National Football Rankings presented by the Army National Guard, Lake Travis has a record of 48-8 in postseason play since its first playoff game in 2000. Under coach Hank Carter, the Cavaliers have an overall record of 91-10 with three state championships since he took over in 2010.
The Cavaliers averaged over 51 points per game on the season and limited 11 of their final 13 opponents to 14 points or less.
The Woodlands (15-1) ended with the most wins in a season in school history. The Highlanders had previously reached the state finals in 2003, falling to North Shore.
