Softball Recap: Rancho Comes Up Short

After soaring to 14 runs the game before, Rancho was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They came up short against the Legacy Longhorns, falling 13-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Longhorns this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-12 back in March.

Rancho's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-5. As for Legacy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Rancho is set to square off against their familiar foe Cimarron-Memorial at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Legacy will challenge rival Clark at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
