Volleyball Recap: Vela Gets the Win

Vela won the last time they faced Edinburg and things went their way on Saturday too. The Sabercats came out on top against the Bobcats by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Sabercats.

Abryella Ysquierdo paced Vela's offense, picking up seven kills. Ysquierdo got some help from Lauren Hanson and her 15 assists. Ysquierdo was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Vela's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Edinburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-7.

Edinburg didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against McMullen County on the 23rd. Hopefully Vela paid attention to the Bobcats' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Bobcats at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
