Volleyball Recap: Buchanan Finds Playoff Glory Versus Los Gatos

With a playoff win on the line, Buchanan rose to the challenge on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Los Gatos Wildcats with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bears.

Buchanan was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-17, 25-19.

Buchanan was led to victory by Carlos Jay and Nathan Webb. Jay had 17 assists, while Webb had 13 kills, three digs, and one block. Jay has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more assists the last nine times he's played.

Buchanan's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 29-16. As for Los Gatos, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-12.

Looking ahead, Buchanan will challenge Del Oro at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Golden Eagles will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Bears surely won't give up without a fight. Los Gatos does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
