Softball Game Preview: Clover Park Timberwolves vs. Fife Trojans

Clover Park is 0-10 against Fife since April of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Timberwolves will take on the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Clover Park has given up an average of 20.8 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Clover Park came up short against Steilacoom on Tuesday, falling 25-1. The Timberwolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Fife got themselves on the board against Foss on Tuesday, but Foss never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 21-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won 11 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Fife has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.9 runs over those games. As for Clover Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.

Clover Park might still be hurting after the 27-1 loss they got from Fife in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Timberwolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
