Basketball Recap: Elite Scholars Academy Takes a Loss

Elite Scholars Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against the Manchester Blue Devils, falling 47-27. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Royal Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 62-30 back in January.

Manchester got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaliya Gray out in front who posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Karlecia White, who scored ten points.

Elite Scholars Academy's record now sits at 2-17. As for Manchester, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-8.

Elite Scholars Academy will take on Mt. Zion at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Elite Scholars Academy is facing Mt. Zion at the right time seeing as Mt. Zion is stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for Manchester, they will square off against Trion at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Manchester will also cruise into their next contest with the timing on their side: Trion will have lost four straight heading into Saturday's matchup.
