Berwick hasn't had much luck against Central Catholic recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Berwick Panthers will look to defend their home field against the Central Catholic Eagles at 4:00 p.m. Berwick is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

It was a proper cat-fight when Berwick faced off against St. James on Thursday. Berwick put the hurt on St. James with a sharp 10-2 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Berwick got a massive performance out of Azyria Garrison, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Kumari Nadar, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Berwick always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Central Catholic's offense. They lost 18-0 to Vandebilt Catholic on Wednesday. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Berwick's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Central Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
