Football Game Preview: Richard Winn Academy Eagles vs. Holly Hill Academy Raiders

The Richard Winn Academy Eagles will head out to take on the Holly Hill Academy Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Richard Winn Academy has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with three straight defeats, while Holly Hill Academy will come in with ten straight victories.

Richard Winn Academy managed to slip by Wardlaw Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Eagles came up short against the Patriots on Friday, falling 50-28.

Meanwhile, Holly Hill Academy faced Jefferson Davis Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Holly Hill Academy took down Jefferson Davis Academy 46-32.

Richard Winn Academy better keep an eye on Parker Kizer. He was instrumental in Holly Hill Academy's win, rushing for 355 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.4 yards per carry, and also throwing for 15 yards and one TD. Kizer was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards. Jake Kirven helped out on the ground, rushing for 84 yards.

Holly Hill Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 454 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 221 rushing yards in 11 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Holly Hill Academy's record now sits at 10-0. As for Richard Winn Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Things could have been worse for Richard Winn Academy, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 37-22 loss to Holly Hill Academy in their previous meeting back in September of 2023.
