Cypress Lakes won against Cypress Springs last Tuesday with 18 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. Everything went the Spartans' way against the Cypress Park Tigers as they made off with an 18-1 victory. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by seven runs or more this season.

Brianna Davila made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over four innings pitched. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in February. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Zahria Ceaser was a standout: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Forward, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Cypress Lakes always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .647. They are 6-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The win made it two in a row for Cypress Lakes and bumps their season record up to 8-12. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Cypress Park, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.
