Mapleton had won six straight games and Lucie Burruss did her part to make it seven on Tuesday. The Sailors simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the McKenzie Eagles 70-21 with plenty of help from Burruss, who shot 60% from the field to rack up 38 points along with eight steals and five boards. Her evening made it 12 games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points.
Another player making a difference was Kaylee Campbell, who posted eight points. She has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times she's played.
Mapleton's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for McKenzie, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
