Softball Recap: Penn Manor Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Penn Manor and Lampeter-Strasburg, and Lampeter-Strasburg kept the tradition alive. Penn Manor fell just short of Lampeter-Strasburg by a score of 2-1 on Monday. The Comets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pioneers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Penn Manor saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Haley Kreider, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that Kreider snagged this season.

Penn Manor's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Lampeter-Strasburg, the win keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Penn Manor will challenge Twin Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lampeter-Strasburg, they will square off against Central York at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
