Baseball Recap: Lisbon Takes a Loss

After flying high against Winthrop on Monday, Lisbon came back down to earth. The Greyhounds fell just short of the Madison Bulldogs by a score of 7-6 on Thursday. The Greyhounds were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 7-3.

Lisbon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Malachi Madore, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Jacoby Tuplin also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Lisbon's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Madison, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-5.

Lisbon has already played their next matchup, a 7-6 loss against Winthrop on the 30th. As for Madison, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 20-13 victory against Spruce Mountain on the 30th.
