Softball Recap: Fort Dorchester Triumphs

Fort Dorchester proved they can win big on February 12th (they won by 11) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the West Florence Knights 4-2.

The team relied heavily on Destiny Copeland, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Nadia Lorenzano was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.

Fort Dorchester's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for West Florence, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Fort Dorchester will challenge Hilton Head Island at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for West Florence, they will venture away from home to challenge North Myrtle Beach at 5:00 p.m. on March 7th.
