Softball Recap: Elton Comes Up Short

Elton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 14-4 to the Hackberry Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 17-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Elton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Hackberry, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Elton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hackberry, they will be playing at home against Hornbeck at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
