Basketball Game Preview: Eastside Catholic Crusaders vs. Holy Names Academy

The Eastside Catholic Crusaders will venture away from home to challenge Holy Names Academy at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Wednesday, Eastside Catholic didn't have quite enough to beat Seattle Prep and fell 49-47. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Holy Names Academy played a tough contest on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Roosevelt 64-16. Holy Names Academy hasn't had much luck with Roosevelt recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Eastside Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Holy Names Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

Eastside Catholic came up short against Holy Names Academy when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 53-43. Can Eastside Catholic avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
