Softball Recap: Southridge Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Southridge and Hermiston squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Southridge had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Suns have suffered against the Bulldogs since May 5, 2023.

Southridge got a massive performance out of Jadyn Holdren, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Constance Gates was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.

Southridge has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season. As for Hermiston, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-12.

As of now, neither Southridge nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
