After five games on the road, Cardinal Mooney is heading back home. They will take on the Seffner Christian Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Monday, Cardinal Mooney didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Riverview Sarasota, but they still walked away with a 53-47 victory.
Cardinal Mooney got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sy?Monique Simon out in front who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Madi Mignery, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Seffner Christian can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Saturday. They blew past Sarasota 64-38. Given Seffner Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 20th, while Sarasota is ranked 67th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Cardinal Mooney is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a massive bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Seffner Christian, their win bumped their record up to 17-3.
Cardinal Mooney came up short against Seffner Christian in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 61-49.
