Basketball Recap: Frederick Comes Up Short

If Frederick was feeling good fresh off their 69-42 takedown of Hollis last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Frederick Bombers fell just short of the Leedey Bison by a score of 41-38 on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Bombers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while the Bison are ranked 63rd).

Frederick's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Leedey, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Frederick will welcome Big Pasture at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Leedey, they will take on Shattuck at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Shattuck knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Leedey likes a good challenge.
