Conemaugh Valley is headed into the game having just posted their biggest victory since December 7, 2024 last Tuesday. Everything went their way against Homer-Center as Conemaugh Valley made off with a 60-34 win.
Conemaugh Valley's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jeremy Dietz, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 22 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Jaylen Henry was another key player, going 7 for 12 en route to 16 points.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Conemaugh Township, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 51-39 win over United on Monday.
Conemaugh Valley better keep an eye on Colin Dinyar. He was instrumental in Conemaugh Township's win, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 12 boards. Another player making a difference was Erik Mcclemens, who posted eight points in addition to six rebounds and three blocks.
Conemaugh Township smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in six consecutive contests.
Conemaugh Township's victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Conemaugh Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Conemaugh Valley and Conemaugh Township are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Conemaugh Valley hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 63.3 points per game. However, it's not like Conemaugh Township struggles in that department as they've been averaging 59.3 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
