Volleyball Recap: Frontier Regional Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Frontier Regional had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against the Chicopee Comp Colts on Thursday, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Hawks of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

While Frontier Regional was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-17, 25-13.

Their offense was headlined by Nathan Rivera and Tegan Dexter, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Tavo Vincent-Warner and his 14 assists.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Frontier Regional will challenge Minnechaug Regional at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Chicopee Comp, they will square off against Putnam Vo-Tech at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
