Basketball Recap: Leake Central Takes a Loss

Leake Central lost against Choctaw Central last Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Leake Central Gators were dealt a 73-39 loss at the hands of the Choctaw Central Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Gators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while the Warriors are ranked third).

Leake Central has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-16 record this season. As for Choctaw Central, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-2.

Leake Central has already played their next match (against Northeast Lauderdale), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Choctaw Central, they have already played their next contest, a 63-31 win against Newton County on the 7th.
