Softball Recap: Bonneville Bees vs. Pocatello Thunder

Bonneville lost against Pocatello back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bees fell 11-8 to the Thunder. The Bees have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gracie Longhurst was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and seven unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI.

In other batting news, Alli Sutherland was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Paisley Bowler, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Bonneville's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Pocatello, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.
