Basketball Game Preview: Larimore Polar Bears vs. Park River/Fordville-Lankin Aggies

Larimore is 2-8 against Park River/Fordville-Lankin since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Larimore Polar Bears will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Park River/Fordville-Lankin Aggies at 6:00 p.m. Larimore is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52 points per game this season.

Larimore is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat North Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland] 67-33. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Polar Bears.

Jace Collison had a dynamite game for Larimore, going 10 for 16 on his way to 25 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. What's more, Collison also racked up four assists, the most he's had since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Avery Gratton, who posted eight points in addition to seven assists and seven boards.

Larimore was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in four consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Park River/Fordville-Lankin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 62-54 to North Border co-op [Walhalla/Pembina].

The victory got Larimore back to even at 3-3. As for Park River/Fordville-Lankin, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
