Childress hasn't had much luck against Bushland recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bobcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Falcons at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Bushland will be up against a hot Childress squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Bobcats never let Dalhart get on the board and left with a 14-0 win on Friday. With that victory, the Bobcats brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.

Ansley Parr was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in 19 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kaylee Felton, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February. Jaycee Lepe was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.
Childress always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Bushland got the win against Canadian on Friday by a conclusive 22-3.
Like Childress, Bushland also got a great game from a two-way player: Farryn McKown. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. McKown was even better at the plate, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Charley Spinks was incredible, firing off four home runs, 11 RBI, and five runs while going 4-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Chayney Snelson, who scored five runs and stole a base while going 5-for-5.
Bushland has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.6 runs over those games. As for Childress, their victory bumped their record up to 12-9-1.
Bushland's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Childress has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10.5 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Bushland, though, as they've been averaging only 3.7 strikeouts. Will Childress keep running through batters, or will the Falcons buck the trend?
Childress might still be hurting after the 11-1 loss they got from Bushland when the teams last played two weeks ago. Will the Bobcats have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
