Football Game Preview: Winslow Bulldogs vs. Window Rock Fighting Scouts + Official Tickets

Winslow is a perfect 4-0 against Window Rock since September of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Fighting Scouts at 7:00 p.m. Winslow has given up an average of 28.8 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

While Winslow's victory against Ganado wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bulldogs narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Hornets 46-44. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Bulldogs considering their six-point performance the contest before.

Gino Quinones went supernova, rushing for 140 yards and four touchdowns on only ten carries. Winslow is 2-1 when Quinones posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 1-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of James Mendoza, who rushed for 107 yards and one TD on only 14 carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Winslow was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 341 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Meanwhile, Window Rock came into Friday's matchup having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They snuck past Monument Valley with a 16-12 victory on Friday.

Winslow's record now sits at 3-6. As for Window Rock, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-7.

Everything came up roses for Winslow against Window Rock in their previous matchup back in August of 2024, as the team secured a 46-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
