Bloomfield snaps four-game streak of wins at home

Recap: Bloomfield Bees vs. Chambers/Wheeler Central Renegades

The Bloomfield Bees suffered their closest loss yet this season on Friday. They fell just short of Chambers/Wheeler Central by a score of 46-44. Bloomfield was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Chambers/Wheeler Central apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.

Bloomfield's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacob Smith, who scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Smith has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Layne Warrior, who scored 12 points.

Chambers/Wheeler Central's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elijah Heinz, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Beau Butterfield, who scored 16 points.

Bloomfield's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5. As for Chambers/Wheeler Central, their victory bumped their record up to 4-11.

Bloomfield will be playing at home against St. Mary's at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully St. Mary's focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten last Tuesday. As for Chambers/Wheeler Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Niobrara/Verdigre at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Niobrara/Verdigre is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
