Basketball Recap: Pacifica Christian/Orange County Skates Past La Serna with Ease

Pacifica Christian/Orange County won the last time they faced La Serna and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Pacifica Christian/Orange County Tritons took their match with ease, bagging a 63-35 win over the La Serna Lancers. Given the Tritons' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 74th, while the Lancers are ranked 489th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pacifica Christian/Orange County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Logan Stewart, who went 9 of 11 on his way to 18 points and seven rebounds. What's more, Stewart also racked up four assists, the most he's had since back in January. Another player making a difference was Hudson Reynolds, who posted 11 points and four steals.

Pacifica Christian/Orange County has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.6 points per game. As for La Serna, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Pacifica Christian/Orange County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-47 victory against Colony on the 11th. As for La Serna, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 66-57 win against Murrieta Mesa on the 11th.
