Volleyball Recap: Somerset Academy Losee Falls Short Against Ranked Liberty

Somerset Academy Losee faced Liberty in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Lions took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots.

Arving Araizaga paced Somerset Academy Losee's offense, picking up five kills. Araizaga got some help from Matias Espinoza and his 14 assists.

Among those leading the charge was GABRIEL BALTAZAR, who had 12 digs.

Somerset Academy Losee's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Liberty, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Somerset Academy Losee will head out on the road to challenge Mater Academy East Las Vegas at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Liberty, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Durango on the 5th.
