Basketball Recap: Peoria Find Success

Peoria fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They snuck past the Agua Fria Owls with a 68-64 win on Tuesday. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Owls, too.

When it comes to explaining why Agua Fria lost, don't look at Micah Mccalla. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds. That's the most boards Mccalla has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was David Tejada, who posted 11 points.

Peoria's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Agua Fria, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season.

Peoria has already played their next game, a 70-49 defeat against Deer Valley on the 23rd. As for Agua Fria, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 65-46 loss against Estrella Foothills on the 23rd.
