Volleyball Recap: Coginchaug Regional Comes Up Short

Coginchaug Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the North Branford Thunderbirds. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Thunderbirds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-18, 25-10.

Coginchaug Regional's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for North Branford, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Coginchaug Regional will challenge rival Haddam-Killingworth at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, North Branford is set to take on their familiar foe Portland at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
