Basketball Recap: Grovetown Warriors vs. Heritage Patriots
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Grayson, Grovetown was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 60-50 victory over the Heritage Patriots. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Warriors as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Grovetown to victory, but perhaps none more so than McKenna Middleton, who went 8 for 10 on her way to 20 points. Middleton is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Rebecka Jones, who posted ten points along with seven boards and five assists.
Grovetown was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive contests.
