Soccer Recap: El Primero Takes a Loss

After soaring to seven goals the game before, El Primero was a bit more limited in their game on Saturday. They fell just short of the Rio Linda Knights by a score of 2-1. If the Lobos were looking for revenge after losing 6-1 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Their goal came courtesy of Eddie Toris, who's now up to four this season.

El Primero's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Rio Linda, they now have a winning record of 7-6-3.

El Primero will welcome Amador Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Rio Linda, they will venture away from home to face off against El Camino at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Rio Linda has three straight victories, El Camino has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.
