Two dominant wideouts in Bryson Golightly and Aedyn Claxton are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Levelland Lobos will square off against the Snyder Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Friday, Levelland was able to grind out a solid win over Lake View, taking the game 40-33. The Lobos haven't had any issues with the Chiefs/Maidens recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Noah Martin produced another solid effort rushing for 197 yards and two scores while picking up 11.6 yards per carry. Those 197 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Salazar, who threw for 222 yards and three TDs.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Levelland was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 279 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 192 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Snyder was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. The game between the Tigers and Big Spring didn't end well, with the Tigers falling 49-35. On the bright side, the 35- point performance marked the Tigers' highest-scoring matchup to date.
Levelland will have to contain Tyson Burleson as he made an impact in Snyder's last game. He rushed for 117 yards and one touchdown on only 13 carries.
Snyder's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Levelland, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Friday's contest might be decided in the trenches. Levelland has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 198.2 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Snyder, though, as they've been averaging only 71.8 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
Everything came up roses for Levelland against Snyder when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 55-21 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Tigers' Jacob James, who picked up 85 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Lobos to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
