The Daniel Lions will venture away from home to face off against the Westside Rams at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Westside took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Daniel, who comes in off a win.
Daniel came out on top against Travelers Rest on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run seventh inning. The Lions blew past the Devildogs 10-3. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Lions considering their two-run performance the contest before.
Addy Fraser spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on ten hits.

On the hitting side, Maria Bowers was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and three runs. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Sophie Ayers was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Daniel kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 7-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Westside couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Fury by a score of 7-6 on Thursday. The Rams have struggled against the Fury recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Madison Gray was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Starlyn Clardy, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Westside's loss dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Daniel, their record is now 8-20.
Daniel might still be hurting after the 23-6 defeat they got from Westside in their previous matchup back in February. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
