Softball Recap: 19 Straight Home Wins for Mark Morris

On Tuesday Mark Morris's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the Prairie Falcons. The one-run effort marked the Monarchs' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Not much got past Makenzie Henthorn, who gave up just two hits and racked up 19 Ks to keep Prairie off the board. Henthorn has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 16 consecutive appearances.

As for Prairie, with the defeat, they broke their eight-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-5.

The Monarchs (ranked 23rd) will meet Columbia River (ranked 115th) at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Prairie will take on Heritage at 4:30 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (28 vs. 141).
