Basketball Game Preview: Norco Cougars vs. King Wolves

Norco hasn't had much luck against King recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Norco Cougars will venture away from home to take on the King Wolves at 7:00 p.m.

Norco is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest defeat since December 10, 2024 on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Centennial and fell 85-28. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 707th, while the Huskies are ranked 120th).

Corona typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday King proved too difficult a challenge. They strolled past the Panthers with points to spare, taking the game 60-43. The Wolves pushed the score to 50-29 by the end of the third, a deficit the Panthers cut but never quite recovered from.

Norco's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for King, their record now sits at 11-13.

Norco came up short against King in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 102-92. Can Norco avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
