Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hudsonville). They never let the Maple Valley Lions get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Friday. Considering the Eagles have won eight matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Coleton VanderPloeg looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Hudsonville let Harrison Phillips and Johnny Karsten run wild. Phillips went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Karsten got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. That's the most runs Karsten has posted since back in May of 2024. Lance Horodyski also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Hudsonville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.
