Piscataquis hadn't done well against Greenville recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Pirates' defense stepped up to hand the Lakers a 5-0 shutout. Fans of Piscataquis have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 3+ goals.

Piscataquis' win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Greenville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Piscataquis will head out to square off against Bangor Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Greenville, they will take on Temple Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Greenville will be up against Temple Academy's rather soft defense (which has allowed three goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
