Basketball Game Preview: Baptist Hill Bobcats vs. Lowcountry Leadership NaviGators

Baptist Hill is 9-1 against Lowcountry Leadership since January of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Baptist Hill Bobcats will look to defend their home court against the Lowcountry Leadership NaviGators at 6:30 p.m. Baptist Hill will be strutting in after a victory while Lowcountry Leadership will be coming in after a loss.

Baptist Hill will head into Tuesday's contest hoping to keep the good times rolling: they had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 41-point drubbing they dealt Branchville on Tuesday. Baptist Hill took their match with ease, bagging a 52-11 win over Branchville. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 30 points or more this season.

Baptist Hill's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emerald Alford led the charge by dropping a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. With that strong performance, Alford is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Shaniya Gathers, who posted seven points along with 14 boards and four steals.

Baptist Hill smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 32 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Meanwhile, Lowcountry Leadership was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 39-26 to St. John's.

Baptist Hill's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Lowcountry Leadership, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.

Everything came up roses for Baptist Hill against Lowcountry Leadership when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 46-17 win.
