Soccer Recap: Piper Takes a Loss

Piper fell victim to St. James Academy and their airtight defense on Saturday. They lost 8-0 to the Thunder. While losing is never fun, Piper can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas soccer rankings (they are ranked 60th, while St. James Academy are ranked fourth).

Piper's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-6. As for St. James Academy, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 6-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Piper will welcome Seaman at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. James Academy, they will face off against De Soto at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few goals on average (St. James Academy 0.3, De Soto 0.2) so any goals scored will be well earned.
