Basketball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Thomas Maclaren School's Third in Last Four Outings

If Pikes Peak Christian wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Thomas MacLaren School, they should've done a better job of containing Lance Mathews. The Thomas MacLaren School Highlanders had just enough and edged the Pikes Peak Christian Eagles out 70-68 thanks in part to Mathews, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 24 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in blocks (four).

Nathaniel Stokes was another key player, going 7 of 17 en route to 18 points. The matchup was his third in a row with at least ten points.

When it comes to explaining why Pikes Peak Christian lost on Thursday, don't look at Eddie Harmon. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 35 points and 17 boards. Harmon has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 21 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Matthew Crocfer, who went 6 for 12 on his way to 14 points and four steals.
