Basketball Recap: Trinity Christian Academy Warriors vs. Grandview Prep Pride
The Trinity Christian Academy Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 57-35 margin over Grandview Prep. Trinity Christian Academy's offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last four games.
Elsheema Saintyl had a dynamite game for Trinity Christian Academy, scoring 22 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Saintyl has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaelyn Garcon, who scored five points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.
When it comes to explaining why Grandview Prep lost, one person who can't be blamed is Lyla Forman. Despite the final result, she scored 28 points. Forman continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
Trinity Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Grandview Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
Trinity Christian Academy will square off against the Sharks at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Atlantic Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Warriors in Florida (the Sharks are ranked 268th, while the Warriors are ranked 570th). As for Grandview Prep, they will take on the Blazers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
